Steven Courtenay Architect is a sole practitioner firm specializing in residential and commercial construction. We have over 20 years of experience. As an Architect and sole practitioner, I believe Architecture should grow from the land, encompass the surroundings melding with nature. Our clients design requirements drive our professional service to them. Architecture should blend and complement its surroundings.
We design buildings for people to live and work in. As we have progressed as a culture we find ourselves finally becoming better stewards of the environment around us. I believe this is positive. When I design the needs of my client comes first but, I also know that it is important how the surrounding community will embrace my work.
I hold both a Master degree in Architecture from the Newschool of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from New York Institute of Technology. I have been a Registered Architect since 1999 and hold qualifications from The National Council Architectural Registration Board for Reciprocity - throughout the United States and Canada Another aspect of my practice is consulting to modular manufacturers on improving both their production, design practices and custom designed buildings I am currently in the in the process of securing my LEED certification from United States Green Building Council About Us:
